Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that simply and safely opens the pores using a small blade and removes unwanted vellus hair from the face (peach fuzz).
Dermaplaning Recovery and Results
Although there’s no downtime with dermaplaning and most patients go right back to their normal day, some do have redness in the skin for the next 24 hours. While your skin is red and recovering, it’s wise to avoid applying makeup. It’s also incredibly important to be vigilant about wearing sunscreen on your face for the first few weeks after dermaplaning. (Although you should always be wearing sunscreen.) For the best results with dermaplaning, treatment every 2-4 weeks is best.
