Dr. Lisa Jukes is the first physician in Central Texas to offer AVIVA in Austin powered by AccuTite™ — a non-surgical alternative for labial reduction and other vulva and vaginal concerns.
How does AVIVA Work?
AVIVA uses a process known as radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), which is applied both internally and externally to tighten the tissues and skin for a much improved vaginal appearance. The procedure removes unwanted tissue through small incisions (which means less downtime than surgery) and tightens and shrinks the tissue. Internal radiofrequency thermal energy is introduced via a needle-sized introducer to achieve significant tightening, lifting, and retraction of vulva tissue and around the vaginal opening.
Dr. Jukes has noted the typical improvement to be a 30%-45% reduction in labial hypertrophy and retraction of surrounding tissues, in particular the clitoral hood. It is, in her opinion, a great way to 1) address overall laxity from aging, genetics, and activities such as horseback riding and biking and 2) avoid surgical scars/recovery.
It is Dr. Jukes’s preferred way to address elongation of the clitoral hood, as clitoral hood resection is typically considered higher risk than just surgical labiaplasty. It can be repeated in the future. Results are expected to last 3-5 years for most patients, with yearly FormaV maintenance to help continue to stimulate ongoing collagen/elastin formation to prolong results.
Some patients choose to have AVIVA in Austin, then in three months undergo surgical labiaplasty or vice versa because they are complimentary for certain patients that have more than just elongation of the labia minora.
